I am going to be honest. I almost forgot to record an episode today. You know, you see with my habits, each day, I’m like oooh, today it’s 1:10 in the afternoon, and I’m here, I’m here I’m committed, I’m ready. So it’s 1:11. Make a wish.
So I want to talk about something that was a lesson for me today. And it is charging what you are worth charging your value in your business. And this is something that I’ve been really working on is charging what I’m worth charging my value, really going for it. And over the past two days, I’ve had two different conversations that have challenged me to charge what I am truly worth in both of my businesses as a coach and as the owner of my Social Media Marketing Agency. And what I realized is, there it there’s a little bit of a scarcity mindset that I’m still working through in charging what I am worth and what my services are worth. Part of me when I sit with it, and I’ve just been sitting with it for the past day. So more will come up. But the first thing that comes up for me is the scarcity, for me has been around a fear that people will not pay if I raise my prices because we get accustomed to charging something and people are paying it. And we, me, you, us, we can often undercharge because we’re worried like well, what if people aren’t going to keep paying what I’ve been charging, or what I’m going to be charging.
And so I was really challenged by a coach that I’m working with and then also one of my clients, and I’m going to sit with that. But for me, the scarcity I think comes up around “Will people pay?” and the process that I worked myself through. This isn’t the first time this has happened. This is actually something that happens at different points in my life when I’m leveling up in my pricing. And something that I really have sat with is when I’m feeling this, where’s the scarcity coming from?
So I identified it. It’s coming from a fear that people aren’t going to pay. So then I have to go back, and I get to do value analysis, look at my skills, look at the service I’m offering, and look at what I’m bringing to the table. And then when I do that, I then see why it is worth it for me to raise my prices.
So when I do that as a coach, I take a step back and raise my coaching prices. Because I have raised my coaching prices in the past 24 hours, and I have raised my social media marketing prices in the past two hours, right? I’ve made that decision. I’ve stepped into that. And so for me, I need to take a minute. And just think about the value that I bring to the table and why what I am offering is worth these elevated prices. Will it shoo certain clients away? Absolutely, absolutely. But it will energetically call in more aligned clients into my business more aligned with where I’m at more aligned with what I’m teaching. And also energetically, it will allow me to keep showing up in my highest power, which is how I want to show up in all of my businesses. So I just wanted to share that with you. At different times, coaches who have podcasts often teach about scarcity and manifestation and money mindset and business. And because we’re stepping into it and teaching from the space of an expert, I think a lot of times we don’t share our own journey at the moment. And I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve done a lot of work on my money mindset. And I’m still not done, and I’m going to keep working on it. I’ve done a lot of work around fears and around stepping into new experiences. But that work is never done, and it’s going to keep coming up. And so I always want to be very honest and authentic and sharing what it is that I’m going through. So that’s what I’m working through right now. I’m working through really stepping fully into charging what I am worth at this point in my life. And I ask an invite you and challenge you to do the same thing to look at your life to look at your products and services to see what are you charging and how can you uplevel yourself and challenge yourself in this way.
If you love this episode, share it with a friend who needs a little bit of help with their money mindset today. And as always, I would love it and be so thankful if you rate review and subscribe to the podcast.
